There's Good News, And There's Bad News

good news is that there are no more white blood cells in Mike's sperm and he got good ratings (per nurse):

  • motility - 58%
  • concentration - 66 million
  • morphology - 6%
when i told him the results, he said "I'm proud of those little guys!" he also said that is guys should have weapons so that they can penetrate my egg easier!

bad news is that my culture test came back positive for Ureaplasma. we both have to be treated with Doxycyline (an antibiotic) for 10 days, but i have to take a HPT to make sure that we aren't pregnant first b/c it can be harmful to a fetus.

i'm on CD 34 so if i don't get my period by CD40 they are retesting my blood for PG and if negative they will give me Provera. then i can start the Doxycycline and hopefully Clomid to try a cycle with monitoring and intercourse only.

i also heard a very inspirational story today on thenest.com (Trouble TTC board). a woman on there who also has PCOS (diagnosed about a year ago) and whose husband has MFI (male fertility issues) conceived on a cycle where she threw out all the drugs and used only acupuncture to ovulate:

Nestie: stevieandtracie's BFP story

i've been thinking of trying acupuncture to see if it will help with out situation as well. i really hope that by relieving stress we can help to form a "union" without the help of fertility procedures.

hopefully we won't have to move onto IUI...
