Friday morning was my HSG. everything went well. the Dr. who did the test said everything looks good. they gave me the films and i dropped off to my RE so i'm just waiting for them to call with their interpretation.
it was not a pleasant experience, but it is behind me now. the worst part was dilation. the Dr. said he may have to do more during the procedure because it might not have been enough, luckily he didn't. after the x-rays were taken, he had a hard time getting everything out because he had to take out the speculum during the x-rays in order to get the proper views. when he reinserted the speculum, I kept feeling pinching and it was not pleasant.
he did say that because of the way my uterus is shaped it was hard for him to see what he was doing (a great comfort). he did just enough to get everything out but he wasn't able to "blot" my cervix with gauze so he said i may experience more bleeding than what is usual. but it slowed down to spotting, so I'm not worried. I did have a dull pain on my left side, but it got duller throughout the day and then subsided to a twinge every now and then.
Saturday was the bachelorette party. i had a good time. it was nice to get out with younger people and feel carefree again. it is a feeling i'd like to have more often.

Carefree is good, we all need down time from this TTC journey!!! Find it where you can.
