midnight on Friday...i went to pee before bed and saw a little pink. i said, OK maybe i'm seeing things. i may have ovulated about 10 days ago, but it is too soon because i normally get my period 14 to 17 days after supposed ovulation dates.
onto Saturday...same thing pink every time i wipe. so i started wearing pantie liners, and every time i check there was a thin pink line. so now i start getting nervous and saying maybe i'm pregnant and this is implantation bleeding...or maybe i'm having a miscarriage. i took a pregnancy test in hopes for the initial guess...one silly line.
Sunday...first thing when i wake up, i take another pregnancy test, since FMU (first morning urine) is the best source of HCG...one silly line. we have plans and will be away from home all day so in the car i call the RE's office because if this strange bleeding IS my period i have to go in for testing on Monday (CD3 testing to check hormone levels). i leave a message because they are not answering and hope that i get a call back the same day. thankfully the nurse does call and i explain and she says to come in Monday and treat it as if it were my period...thanks lady :( still the same pink line all day.
Monday (today)...trudge through insane traffic and get to the office late but they take me anyway. then make myself crazy thinking of all of the possibilities while i wait for the results. surprisingly i get a call from the nurse at around 1:30. the results...looks like the pink is my period and does NOT look like i am pregnant.
it's so funny how most people pray for one line when they are young, and the tables are turned completely when you are faced with infertility. i know i haven't been dealing with this for very long at all, but i kind of always knew this day would come.
for now, all i want is to be able to see two lines. to know that i CAN get pregnant. then I'll take it from there.
i have an HSG (Hysterosalpingogram) scheduled for this Friday at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, i get to drink away my sorrows at Janet's bachelorette party. amen to that.
